Our policies, in plain language.

No fine print games. If a rule exists, it is here, and it is the same rule for everyone.

Rescheduling and cancellations

Reschedule or cancel any lesson at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice by calling 718-221-0022. Cancellations made inside 24 hours of the lesson carry a $10 fee. If you simply do not show up, the lesson may be forfeited, because your instructor and car were waiting for you and could not serve another student. If something genuinely unavoidable happens, talk to us; we are human about emergencies.

Refunds

Unused, unscheduled lessons in a package are refundable on request, less any payment-processing costs we cannot recover. Lessons already taken are billed at the single-lesson rate when calculating a partial refund of a discounted package. The 5-hour class is non-refundable once you have attended. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Square.

Lesson credits

Prepaid lesson packages are valid for 12 months from purchase. We will remind you before credits expire; we would much rather teach you than keep your money.

What to bring

Your original photo learner permit comes to every lesson and to the 5-hour class; the DMV requires us to check it. Glasses or contacts if your permit lists a corrective-lens restriction. Flat, closed shoes you can feel the pedals in.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to teach you and satisfy DMV requirements: your name, contact details, permit information, lesson records, and payment records (card payments are processed by Square; we never see or store your full card number). We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. DMV-required records, such as pre-licensing course rosters, are kept and reported as New York State requires. Safety

All instruction takes place in dual-control vehicles with a NY-licensed instructor. As we add in-car safety cameras to our vehicles, recording will be disclosed in your enrollment paperwork and marked by a notice in the vehicle.
